Purpose

Aspiring IT professional focused on cloud/IT support, networking, and cybersecurity fundamentals. I’m logging my journey and seeking opportunities in the hope to inspire others. Here you will find some of my hands-on projects, blog, and skills that I am continuously developing.

πŸ‘€ About Me

I’ve developed an ongoing curiosity for IT and the role information plays in all our lives through my past few roles and through my personal experiences. I’ve worked in hospitality, insurance and currently work in tech sales and have seen in first hand the growing importance of data security, building systems, maintaining systems, compliance and governance regulations and the impact they have on businesses. This piqued my interest to explore the technical side of business needs.

🎯 Career Goal: Land a Cloud or IT support role where I can grow and contribute to an organization in maintaining infrastructure, system administration and achieving business objectives.

πŸ“š What I Am Working On Currently: I’m working towards obtaining the CCNA and showcasing hands-on experience with tools like Azure (Entra ID), Active Directory and PowerShell.

πŸ”§ Projects

⚑ Active Directory Simulation

Tools: Active Directory Domain Services, Windows Server, PowerShell

Summary: In an on-premise or hybrid environment Active Directory is the central management hub for our identities dictating access and connecting users to network resources. I designed an AD environment with 75 users and then had Claude run a script to β€œbreak” it creating 20 tickets simulating a help desk role.

⚑ Group Policy Management

Tools: Windows Server, Group Policy Management Console

Summary: To configure devices at users and devices at scale companies use Group Policy to ensure consistency and accuracy as well as save time from manual provisioning. This project focuses on endpoint management, user experience standardization, and security hardening using Group Policy Objects (GPOs).

☁️ M365 Core Administration

Tools: Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Entra ID, Exchange Online Summary: Microsoft 365 is the backbone of modern enterprise productivity. To simulate day-to-day MSP support, I executed a complete employee onboarding workflow by provisioning cloud identities, allocating licenses, configuring shared mailboxes, and enforcing essential security baselines like MFA and self-service password reset.

πŸ’» Intune Endpoint Management

Tools: Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Windows Virtual Machine Summary: With remote work becoming the standard, managing and securing hardware outside the corporate network is critical. I deployed a zero-touch provisioning scenario by joining a Windows device to Entra ID, silently deploying required third-party software, and enforcing compliance policies like automated BitLocker encryption.

⚑ Highly Available Web App

Tools: Scale Sets, Azure Load Balancer, NGINX, Azure Monitor

Summary: I designed a simple web app across a Virtual Machine Scale Set behind a load balancer. I wanted to touch on basic concepts of design, automation, high availability and elasticity using what I have learned from AZ-104 prep.

🚨 Metric Monitoring and Alerts

Tools: Log Analytics, Azure Dashboards, Monitor Alerts

Summary: Implementation of a Monitoring and Alerting Dashboard in Azure, focusing on centralizing logs and automating incident notifications.

πŸ›‘οΈ RBAC + MFA Set-Up

Tools: Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Authenticator

Summary: Simulated the implementation of common enterprise network hardening practices such as, NSG rules, MFA, and RBAC.

🦈 Traffic Analysis

Tools: Wireshark, Linux, Remote Desktop

Summary: Using filters in Wireshark, I filtered for traffic across various protocols and ports simulating how a security professional may parse through a pcap.
